<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a getting on/off auxiliary device suppressing damage of a railroad vehicle by a plate protruded from a platform to the railroad vehicle side, and damage of the plate itself. <P>SOLUTION: The getting on/off auxiliary device AP includes a base part UP, a tread plate PL stored in the base part UP and protruded toward the railroad vehicle stopping at the platform, arm parts La, Lb, Lc supporting the tread plate PL in relation to the base part UP, and a drive/control unit CU driving the arm parts La, Lb, Lc.
