<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the release function of a tongue after a vehicle collision while suppressing external dimensions of a buckle and an increase in component cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a seat belt system, the buckle 6 that detachably fixes the tongue provided on a belt includes: a buckle mechanism part 30 that fixes the tongue detachably; a cover that is configured to connect a front cover 22 to a back cover 23 and cover the buckle mechanism part 30; and a release button 35 that is movabley supported on the front cover 22 in the vertical direction to enable the fixing of the tongue to be released by moving downward by a predetermined distance with respect to the buckle mechanism part 30. In the seat belt system, the front cover 22 includes a cover retaining part 33 that positions the buckle mechanism part 30 with respect to the front cover 22, wherein the contact faces 22a, 23a of the front cover 22 with the back cover 23 are formed diagonally so that the back cover 23 can be separated from the front cover 22 when a predetermined or larger load is applied to the back cover 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
