<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the release function of a tongue after a vehicle collision while suppressing external dimensions of a buckle and an increase in component cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a seat belt system, the buckle 6 that detachably fixes the tongue provided on a belt includes: a buckle mechanism part 30 that fixes the tongue detachably; a cover 20 that covers the buckle mechanism part 30; and a release button 35 that is supported on the cover 20 movably in a vertical direction to enable the fixing of the tongue to be released by moving downward by a predetermined distance L to the frame 31 of the buckle mechanism part 30. In the seat belt system, a cover retaining part 33 that positions the frame 31 in the vertical direction with respect to a front cover 22 is provided in the front cover 22 of the cover 20, wherein the strength of a part P below the cover retaining part 33 of the front cover 22 is set lower than that of a part above the cover retaining part 33 of the front cover 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
