摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce partial non-uniform temperature of a heat generating member by facilitating temperature control during normal rotation in an image heating device of electromagnetic induction heat system. <P>SOLUTION: The image heating device comprises: a rotatable heat generating member 31a that generates heat by electromagnetic induction; a rotatable pressure member 32 that forms a nip part N with the heat generating member; magnetic field generating means 33 having a magnetic field generating coil 33a and disposed opposite the outside of the heat generating member; a magnetic material core 31d disposed inside the heat generating member and used to adjust the magnitude of an induction magnetic field in the heat generating member, generated by the magnetic field generating means; and temperature detecting means 31g for detecting the temperature of the heat generating member. The image heating device heats a recording material P with an image t held in the nip part. The temperature detecting means 31g is disposed in a position sandwiched between the magnetic field generating coil 33a and the magnetic material core 31d.
