<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-absorbing fine particles which attain both of the conversion of a water-absorbing polymer into fine particles and water absorbing property, and a method for manufacturing an electric wire by using the water absorbing fine particles. <P>SOLUTION: A method includes neutralizing fine particles of a terpolymer with a metal hydroxide, wherein the fine particles are obtained by dissolving at least an unsaturated organic acid, an unsaturated amide, a cross-linking agent and a polymerization initiator and then heating/polymerizing the resulting solution to precipitate the particles. Further, a method for manufacturing an electrical wire includes applying an ultraviolet ray curing resin precursor containing water-impregnated water absorbing fine particles, obtained by impregnating the obtained water-absorbing fine particles with water, on a long conductor, then irradiating the applied ultraviolet ray curing resin precursor with an ultraviolet ray to cure the ultraviolet ray curing resin precursor and to form an ultraviolet ray cured resin layer, and removing water contained in the water-impregnated water absorbing fine particles from the ultraviolet ray cured resin layer by heating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
