<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for sterile filling, which needs as little energy and/or produces as little wastewater as possible, while allowing as rapid as possible sterilization. <P>SOLUTION: The device for the sterile filling of liquids in bottles, includes a sterilizer 9 which is used to sterilize the bottles 7 with H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, a filler 11 which is used to fill the bottles, a closing device 11 which is used to apply a closing lid such as, for example, a closing cap 15, and has structure to set the temperature of the bottle whereby condensation of the H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>on the surface of the bottle is prevented. Also, the method for sterile filling of liquids in bottles comprises the steps of the bottles are sterilized with H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, then filled and closed.
