<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming technique with higher quality than before while suppressing loads in a hardware aspect or a software aspect. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 100 comprises: an edge detection part 112 which detects an edge pixel using attribute information X; a screen processing part 113 which performs screen processing; a pulse width conversion part 114 which performs pulse width conversion processing; and an output part 115. The pulse width conversion part 114 classifies respective pixels contained in image data into low gradation, middle gradation, and high gradation according to an input gradation value, and converts them into predetermined pulse width data representative of respective classifications. The output part 115 outputs pulse width data from the pulse width conversion part 114 with respect to edge pixels and outputs pulse width data from the screen processing part 113 with respect to non-edge pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
