<p>The disclosed technology addresses the problem of preventing degradation of the performance of an information processing device without compromising impact detection sensitivity. To solve the problem, according to an example embodiment, the processing device has: an acceleration sensor for detecting acceleration applied to the device itself; a connection detection unit for detecting mechanical connection of an external apparatus to the device; and a control unit that takes countermeasures against impact to mechanically-operating internal hardware of the device according to the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor, and which cancels the countermeasures against impact when connection of the external apparatus is detected by the connection detection means.</p> |
