A system and method are provided for mitigating interference in a wireless system. An access point ( AP) is operable to communicate with a plurality of user equipment (UE) devices, which communicate cooperation data to the access point. The access point assigns radio resources to a first UEdevice and communicates transmission parameters of the assigned resources to avoid interference to another UE device while serving the first UE device.
