FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: what is described is a method of the one-step introduction of single-dose ibuprofen. The method consists in providing a mammal with an initial dose of 200 mg to 400 mg of immediate release ibuprofen and a second dose of 100 mg to 200 mg of prolonged release ibuprofen. Said prolonged release second dose is delivered for approximately 2 to 10 hours following the immediate release immediate dose.
