<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified diene rubber with low energy loss and excellent rebound resilience, and to provide a method for production thereof, and a rubber composition using the rubber. <P>SOLUTION: The modified diene rubber is obtained by reacting an epoxidized diene rubber having an epoxidation rate of ≥0.1% to <15%, alkoxysilane having the functional group to be reacted with an epoxy group, and carboxylic acid. The method for production of the modified diene rubber is characterized by mechanically kneading and reacting the epoxidized diene rubber having the epoxidation rate of ≥0.1% to <15%, alkoxysilane having the functional group to be reacted with an epoxy group, and carboxylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
