<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a driver to an appropriate parking place in consideration of driver's preference and a traffic situation around the parking place. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device 1 comprises: a communication unit 16 (reception unit) for receiving information concerning a parking place from a center device 3 via a road side wireless device 2; an approach feasibility information detection unit 10A for detecting approach feasibility information indicating whether an entrance of the parking place can be approached by a right turn or a left turn from the received information; a right-turn/left-turn preference setting unit 10B for setting preference for entering the parking place by the right turn or the left turn; and a parking entrance determination unit 10C for, even if the approach feasibility information indicates that the entrance of the parking place can be approached by the right turn or the left turn, when the preference setting in the right-turn/left-turn preference setting unit 10B indicates preference for the opposite approach method, searching for another entrance of the parking place which can be entered by the approach method indicated by the preference setting and determining the entrance for entering the parking place. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
