A speed increasing gear (50) for a wind turbine is provided with a planetary gear mechanism (52) which has a sun gear (72) and a first parallel shaft gear mechanism (54) which is provided at the rear stage of the planetary gear mechanism (52), and the speed increasing gear (50) is configured in such a manner that the sun gear (72) of the planetary gear mechanism (52) is formed integrally with the output shaft (80) of the planetary gear mechanism (52), at least a portion of the output shaft (80) of the planetary gear mechanism (52) in the axial direction is formed as a second small-diameter section (80C) having a smaller diameter than the portions on both sides of the at least a portion of the output shaft (80), and the tooth flanks of the sun gear (72) are crowned so as to be asymmetric with respect to the center of the sun gear (72) in the axial direction.
