The locking device (1) has a column (14) arranged in the locking region of the locking contour for positively locking the column. The device is partially enclosed by the locking jaws (4,6) in the closed position. A drive shaft (3) and an eccentric gear are arranged for actuating the locking jaws. The eccentric gear has two mutually eccentric cams (22,32). The locking jaws are connected with each other in movable manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) tool clamping plate of plastic processing machine; and (2) plastic processing machine.
