<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable suction pump unit for sucking a humor which provides the maximum mobility to a patient and simplifies the operation of the unit. <P>SOLUTION: The portable suction pump unit for sucking a liquid includes: a pump assembly housing 1 having a pump assembly; and at least one secretion or fluid collecting container 2 detachably connected with this pump assembly housing 1. The pump assembly housing 1 includes: a front wall 11; a back wall 10; and sidewalls arranged between these two walls, and has an adapter for a patient tube 3. The adapter can be introduced into the wall 11 of the pump assembly housing 1, and can be connected with the fluid collecting container 2, and in addition, can be preferably also connected with the pump assembly.
