<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can clean a read part for reading an image printed on a medium to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal printer 100 includes a thermal head 16 which prints the image on recording paper 1, a scanner 30 which reads the image printed on the recording paper 1, and a correction bar 40 which opposes the scanner 30 with a conveying passage 3 sandwiched between the scanner and itself. The correction bar 40 has a white reference chart 41 on a first face and a gray reference chart 42 on a second face at a side opposite to the first face. The thermal printer is switched to a state that the white reference chart 41 opposes a read face 30a of the scanner 30 by the rotation of the correction bar 30 and a state that the gray reference chart 42 opposes the read face 30a of the scanner 30. In the correction chart, there is arranged a cleaner which cleans the read face 30a of the scanner 30 in conjunction with the switching of the chart (rotation of the correction bar). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
