<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing an optical fiber with pores capable of uniformizing a pore size of each pore, even when deviation is generated between the center axis of a preform for the optical fiber with pores and the center axis of a drawing furnace. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing an optical fiber with pores in which a preform for the optical fiber with pores having a clad on which a plurality of pores 2 are formed along the center axis of a core around the core is introduced into a drawing furnace 3, and the preform for the optical fiber with pores is heated, melted and drawn in the drawing furnace 3, to thereby manufacture the optical fiber with pores, the preform for the optical fiber with pores is heated, melted and drawn in the drawing furnace 3, while rotating the preform for the optical fiber with pores around the center axis of the core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
