摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of electrically connecting between an electrode part for inter-substrate conduction and conductive particles with a simple structure even when an inorganic alignment film covers the surface of the electrode part for inter-substrate conduction, a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device and a projection type display device using the liquid crystal device as a light valve. <P>SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal device 100, for a counter substrate 20, an alignment film 26 is an inorganic alignment film for covering the surface of an electrode part for inter-substrate conduction 25t of a pair of substrates composed of an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20. However, since the electrode part for inter-substrate conduction 25t is formed by an aluminum alloy film having a hardness lower than that of conductive particles 209b, the conductive particles 109b break through the alignment film 26 to bite into the electrode part for inter-substrate conduction 25t and electrically connects with the electrode part for inter-substrate conduction 25t.
