The drive has strands arranged parallel to each other and designed as half stators. A mirror plane is arranged between the strands, where displacement of the strands is provided in a movement direction. A ferrite element is provided on a side of a stator line section in a direction that is transverse to the movement direction. The ferrite element encloses the stator line section at an angle less than 180 degrees and is formed as a ferrite plate (3). Another ferrite element encloses the stator line section at an angle more than 180 degrees, and is formed as a ferrite half shell (2). An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
