The sensor (1) has a temperature sensor (18) for receiving data measured by the sensor, and a data interface (11) for transmitting data from the sensor or for receiving additional data. A converter converts energy into electrical energy for regular operation of the sensor. A diagnosis interface (21) is designed such that energy transmission to the sensor takes place during a trial operation. The temperature sensor detects temperature of a contact part (20) on which the sensor is arranged, where the diagnosis interface is arranged between the sensor and a hand-held equipment (2). An independent claim is also included for a method for temporary operation of a radio sensor.
