The roller bearing (10) has an inner ring (12) and an outer ring (14), where rolling bodies (16) are arranged between the inner ring and outer ring. The bearing ring has a radially peripheral annular cavity (26) filled with a bulk material (28). The particles of the bulk material have a certain diameter and the aggregate state of the bulk material is independent from changes of the operating conditions of the roller bearing. Statistical or dynamic characteristics of the roller bearing are determined by the quantity, the characteristics and the measurements of the used particles. An independent claim is included for a device for influencing the rolling bearing occurring imbalances.
