<p>Provided is a technique relating to a portable working machine having mounted thereon an internal combustion engine provided with a lubricating oil tank, the technique being configured so that, when there is an abnormality in the amount of lubricating oil retained in the lubricating oil tank, the technique can accurately inform the user of the abnormality. The portable working machine disclosed by this specification is provided with: an oil level sensor for detecting the level of the lubricating oil retained in the lubricating oil tank; a rotational speed adjusting device capable of adjusting the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine; and a first warning device for informing the user of an abnormality in the level of the lubricating oil. The portable working device automatically inspects the level of the lubricating oil, which is retained in the lubricating oil tank, during the period from the start of the internal combustion engine to the start of the work of the user. During the inspection of the level of the lubricating oil, if the value detected by the oil level sensor is not within a predetermined range, the portable working device informs the user of the abnormality by means of the first warning device and prevents a rise in the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine by means of the rotational speed adjusting device.</p> |
