PURPOSE: A portable radioactivity detector, a radioactivity detecting system using portable communication equipment, and a detecting method thereof are provided to reduce manufacturing costs by simplifying a constitution of a radioactivity detecting system and to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A portable radioactivity detector comprises portable communication equipment mounting a receiving member, a monitor, a detecting information unification processing unit of detecting information. The receiving member receives the detecting information transmitted from a detecting information transmitting member and the detecting information unification processing unit interprets, analyzes, or processes the detecting information received by the receiving member. The portable radioactivity detector comprises a radioactivity detector comprises a radioactivity detecting sensor, a digital signal convertor, the detecting information transmitting member, and a power supplying member. The digital signal convertor converts the detecting information detected by the radioactivity detecting sensor into digital radioactive detecting information and the detecting information transmitting member transmits the converted detecting information. The power supply member supplies power to the radioactive detecting sensor, the digital signal convertor, or detecting information transmitting member. The radioactive detecting sensor is composed of a measuring tube, a cathode and an anode hanging on the tube, and a gas and a membrane in the inside of the tube.
