<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator maintaining a low contact resistance for a long period of time and capable of being used for a fuel cell, by using a carbon film that can be formed with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell separator 10 includes: a base material 1 comprising titanium or a titanium alloy; and a conductive carbon layer 2 that is formed by pressurizing carbon powder onto the base material 1 to be bonded and covers the surface thereof. Between the base material 1 and the carbon layer 2, a particle-like titanium carbide 31 and carbon-titanium solid solution 32 generated by reacting Ti of the base material 1 with C of the carbon layer 2 through heat treatment are connected to form an intermediate layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
