<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for a green sheet, excellent in sheet characteristic and capable of being improved in peeling characteristic when the green sheet is peeled from a support even if the green sheet is made to be of a thin layer, a method for manufacturing a green sheet manufactured using the coating material, and a method for manufacturing an electronic component manufactured using the green sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The coating material for a green sheet includes a ceramic powder, a binder resin containing a butyral-based resin as a main component, a solvent, and a dispersant. The solvent is a mixed one containing at least an alcohol-based solvent, a ketone-based solvent and an aromatic solvent. In the mixed solvent, the addition proportion of the alcohol-based solvent is 60 to 80 vol%. The dispersant is a polycarboxylate-based dispersant.
