<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-fiber optical connector that enables a ferrule to be formed without use of core pins and has also high accuracy for positioning fibers, a manufacturing method for the multi-fiber optical connector, and an alignment member for manufacturing the multi-fiber optical connector. <P>SOLUTION: In an alignment member 17, the side of holes 19 thereof is made to be faced to a ferrule 5, and guide holes 11 of the ferrule 5 have guide pins 21 of the alignment member 17 inserted thereinto. Then, optical fibers 9 are wholly inserted into the corresponding holes 19, so that the optical fibers 9 are restricted at the position of the holes 19, and namely, can be made to be aligned with the almost same accuracy as the holes 19.
