An operating device (11) for an electric device has multiple display elements (18) and multiple operating elements (20a, 20b, 20c) below a translucent operating surface (10) in order to operate by applying a finger and drawing the finger over the operating surface. The operating elements are flat capacitive sensor elements (23) and have common receiving housings (12a, 12b, 12c) together with the display elements. The sensor elements are placed onto the receiving housings from above, and the display elements are arranged in through-openings (14, 16) in said receiving housings. The operating device has at least two receiving housings (12a, 12b, 12c) that are arranged next to each other. |
