<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination optical system and a projector device, which are able to prevent uneven illumination by forming, on an illuminated member, an image of a divided pattern of a light emitting surface. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination optical system comprises: a roughly-rectangular light source having the light emitting surface divided into a plurality of areas by dividing lines along predetermined directions: an illuminated member, with a rectangular area to be illuminated; and an optical member for condensing light from the light emitting surface and illuminating the area to be illuminated. An image of the divided pattern of the light emitting surface of the light source is formed on the illuminated member. Thereby uneven illumination is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
