摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a technology to dynamically increase transmission capacity of downlink communication in order to avoid decline of throughput due to temporary traffic increase in relation to downlink communication of a PON system. <P>SOLUTION: An OLT 1 comprises at least two or more transmitters 11, 12 capable of transmitting optical signals having different wave lengths from each other, and increases transmission capacity of downlink communication by allocating a wave length to be used to each ONU so that the transmission data volume of each transmitter is averaged according to a state of traffic load. In addition, an ONU 2 comprises a variable wavelength filter 21 at a pre-stage of a receiver 23, and changes a transmission wavelength of the variable wavelength filter 21 to a wavelength allocated to an OLT during reception of an idle pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
