<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a possible small-size set, at a high speed, that includes many test cases matching with a set of existing test cases given as an input. <P>SOLUTION: For some parameters, a value which a test case candidate should have is determined (718). Out of test cases included in a set of input test cases, test cases having the determined value are determined as candidates (712). Out of one or a plurality of test case candidates generated by a conventional method and one or a plurality of test case candidates selected from the set of input test cases, test cases having the highest score are added to the set of output test cases (716).
