<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant excellent in strength of a flock while maintaining solubility to water. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer flocculant (X) includes a water-soluble copolymer (A) that performs the reverse phase suspension polymerization of a polymerizable monomer that includes a water-soluble univalent unsaturated monomer (a) and a multivalent unsaturated monomer (b) shown by the following general formula (1): (CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>=CR<SP POS="POST">1</SP>COO)<SB POS="POST">n</SB>-Z.
