<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device and a monitoring method which precisely and efficiently control an air conditioning system of a building of a monitoring target. <P>SOLUTION: According to this embodiment, the monitoring device includes a data receiving means, a characteristic function computing means, and an operational condition computing means. The data receiving means receives data on performance characteristics of each air conditioning facility provided in the air conditioning system of a structure of a monitoring target, and monitoring data of each air conditioning facility. The characteristic function computing means computes a characteristic function indicating the performance characteristics of the monitoring target building from the monitoring data for a given period and the data on the performance characteristics. The operational condition computing means uses the characteristic function to compute operational condition data of the air conditioning system which minimizes a total of consumption energy of the air conditioning facility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
