<p>Provided is a vehicle drive apparatus capable of reducing design restrictions concerning the mounting position of an electric motor when the electric motor, which outputs motive power to a drive wheel, is mounted on a vehicle. An output rotating member (34) of an electric motor (MG) outputs motive power via a first output shaft (34a) corresponding to one end portion of the output rotating member (34) and a second output shaft (34b) corresponding to the other end portion of the output rotating member (34). The first output shaft (34a) and the second output shaft (34b) are respectively linked with the drive wheel (24) in a separable manner. The first output shaft (34a) and the second output shaft (34b) are configured to be selectively linked with the drive wheel (24) so as to change speeds between the electric motor (MG) and the drive wheel (24). Thus, a transmission apparatus comprising a first transmission unit (14), a second transmission unit (16), a first clutch (C1), and a second clutch (C2) can be prevented from being unevenly located at one side of the electric motor (MG), so that the design restrictions can be reduced.</p> |
