The device i.e. multi-core microcomputer (1), has a resetting unit detecting an abnormal system from a set of systems and outputting a reset request signal, which indicates the abnormal system. A static common part i.e. memory (20) comprises a static switching part e.g. mediator (24), and resettable portions e.g. memory areas (21-23) that are allocated to the systems and independently resettable in response to the signal. The switching part specifies a portion assigned to the abnormal system if the signal is output from the resetting unit such that the specified portion is reset.
