<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where, when a processing prohibition condition cannot be updated, print restriction is not appropriately performed so that a print job that needs to be restricted is printed. <P>SOLUTION: A print system includes a printer 40 and a management server 10 that is connected to the printer 40 through a network 20. The printer 40 includes: a processing prohibition information storage part 41 for storing processing prohibition information 41a; a processing permission information storage part 44 for storing processing permission information 44a; a communication status confirmation part 43 for confirming a communication status with the management server 10; a print part 46 for performing print processing on the basis of a print job; and a processing restriction part 45 for referring to the processing prohibition information 41a, the processing permission information 44a, and the communication status, and restricting permission or prohibition of the print processing.
