PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylate copolymer for forming a receiving layer which has excellent printing properties.

SOLUTION: The acrylate copolymer includes a monomer unit of formula (1) of 1 to 30 mol%; and either or both monomer units of formula (2) or formula (3) of 5 to 40 mol%; wherein, X in the formula (1) is N(CH3)2or N+(CH3)3Cl-; and R in the formula (1) and the formula (3) is H or CH3.
