<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce capacity of a line buffer necessary for correction when a skew shift angle is fixed due to attaching precision of a print head. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a skew image processing part 5 that divides image data in a main scanning direction into the number of blocks of skew correction objects, according to a skew shift angle; the line buffer 2 that temporarily stores image data input for each line in the main scanning direction; a line buffer read address control part 3 that generates an address to read output data from the line buffer 2 on the basis of the number of the divided blocks; and a line buffer write address control part 4 that generates an address to write input data into the address read from a read address from which the output data have been read. The skew image processing part 5 performs control within an address area corresponding to the skew shift angle by using part of the line buffer 2, and performs skew correction by writing image data into an address in which data that have been read as output is stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
