The heat exchanger has coolant channels (10a,10b) that are connected with the fluid inlet (8) and fluid outlet (12) of housing (2). Several ribs (16) are arranged on the walls (14,15,17) of upper and lower portions (4,6) of housing and are extended into the coolant channels. A U-shaped partition plate (20) is clamped between the ribs of housing portion, so that the inlet from which the fluid flows into the sub-channels (22a,22b,24a,24b) of coolant channel is closed.
