<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater achieving a waterproof structure for an exterior body with a simple and lightweight construction without adding sealing material, packing and the like. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater includes the exterior body which is placed outside and covers a hot-water supply apparatus installed inside. The exterior body is formed by combining a plurality of plate components, and has an overlapped portion with a part of one of the plate components overlapped with a part of the other plate component. The inner plate component of the overlapped portion is formed with a vertically extending groove 4 by sheet-metal processing, the groove being configured to project inward and to be recessed outward. A drainage passage 6 is formed between the outer plate component and inner plate component of the overlapped portion by the groove 4. Water intruded from the outside into a clearance between the outer plate component and inner plate component of the overlapped portion is lowered by gravity through the drainage passage 6 and discharged from the lower portion of the drainage passage 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
