<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate deviation of a retention index in accordance with partial cutting of a column and column replacement to raise accuracy of qualitative analysis using a reference retention index. <P>SOLUTION: It is utilized that variation of average linear velocity of carrier gas and ratio of variation of a retention index to a reference retention index become linear relation under the same column, and inclination of a straight line of the relation is experimentally calculated and stored for a specific component (S1, S2). After partial cutting of the column, etc. are performed, a retention index under reference linear velocity is actually measured for the specific component (S3), when the retention index is deviated, linear velocity for obtaining the reference retention index is calculated by applying the reference retention index, an actually measured retention index, the reference linear velocity to a relational expression using a value of the stored inclination (S4, S5). In GC analysis of an unknown sample, deviation of the retention index is compensated by performing linear velocity fixed control by using the calculated linear velocity as a control target value (S6-S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
