<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lens array in which the lens array can be molded in a predetermined shape with high reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing the lens array having a plurality of lens parts, and a substrate part formed integrally with the plurality of the lens parts. In this method, a molding die is used which is equipped with a pair of dies, each of which is formed in a shape following the outer peripheral shape of the lens array on a transfer surface including a lens transfer part having the shape obtained by inverting the shapes of the lens parts and has bank-like projection parts, resin as a material of the lens array is supplied to an area having the shape following the outer peripheral shape of the lens array and partitioned by the bank-like projection parts on the transfer surface of each of a pair of the dies, the resin is sandwiched by a pair of the dies, the resin is deformed according to the shape of the transfer surface while flowing the resin from gaps between the projection parts of the transfer surface of each of a pair of the dies, and the resin sandwiched by a pair of the dies is cured to form the resin existing between the projection parts into thin wall parts, thereby making the lens array made of the cured resin released from a pair of the dies after curing of the resin while using the thin wall parts as starting points. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
