<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for preparing lubricant formulations, which have multiple steps and do not require expensive separations and purifications. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preparing a final lubricant formulation includes: a step of mixing an alkylated phenyl-α-naphthyl amine, formaldehyde, and a base lubricant, to produce a mixture; a step of heating the mixture to cause a condensation reaction, and removing reaction water to produce a composition of the lubricant and antioxidant; and a step of blending additives or additive packages with the composition of the lubricant and antioxidant to produce the final lubricant formulation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
