<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a semiconductor laser driving device which protects the semiconductor laser driving device from a surge current of a semiconductor laser element and has high response characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a semiconductor laser driving device comprising: a step of electrically connecting a semiconductor laser device including a semiconductor laser element and a protective element to a laser driving circuit; and a protective element insulating step of electrically insulating the protective element.
