<p>Provided is a light-assisted magnetic head and a light-assisted magnetic recording device in which resistance to environmental and chronological change is high, and mass productivity is improved by attempting to dramatically reduce the accuracy of a step for guiding light from a light source to a plasmon probe, shorten manufacturing time, and increase yield. This light-assisted magnetic head is provided with a light source and an optical waveguide into which light from the light source is coupled, a plasmon probe being arranged on an exit end of the optical waveguide. The light-assisted magnetic head has, partway along a light path from the light source to the optical waveguide, an optical element provided with a plurality of mirror surfaces, the optical element adapted for bending at a predetermined angle, by reflection on the plurality of mirror surfaces, the direction of light exiting the light source; the light-assisted magnetic head causing the light exiting the optical element to be coupled directly into the optical waveguide.</p> |
