<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current sensor having a simple configuration, which detects the current flowing in an electrical wiring in a wide current range. <P>SOLUTION: A current sensor comprises: electrical wirings wa, wb1, and wc1 which are connected to a measuring object A; magnetic resistance elements 11a, 11b, and 11c having magnetic resistance characteristic curve composed of a linear part with a resistance value increasing at a constant ratio and a saturated part with a saturated resistance value, which are spaced apart from the electrical wirings at different distances d1, d2, and d3, respectively; a sense current part 12 which allows sense currents to flow in the magnetic resistance elements 11a, 11b, and 11c, respectively; and detection means 13 which detects the resistance value reaches the saturation point through the transition from the linear part to the saturated part of the magnetic resistance characteristic curve on the basis of the change in sense current value flowing in the magnetic resistance elements 11a, 11b, and 11c, and outputs the information that the current flowing in the electrical wirings reaches a prescribed value. The detection means 13 detects that the current flowing in the electrical wirings reach a different prescribed value for each of the magnetic resistance elements 11a, 11b, and 11c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
