Provided is a single service board and a method for controlling the power supply thereof. The single service board comprises: a service unit and a control unit physically independent of as well as connected to each other, a first power supply unit connected to the service unit and a second power supply unit connected to the control unit; wherein the service unit is used for processing the data service allocated by the control unit and sending to the control unit the processing progress of processing the data service allocated by the control unit; the control unit is used for allocating a data service to the service unit and sending power supply control information to the first power supply unit according to the situation regarding the data service allocated to the service unit or the processing progress sent by the service unit of processing the data service allocated by the control unit; the first power supply unit is used for receiving the power supply control information sent by the control unit and triggering or turning off the power supply to the service unit according to the power supply control information sent by the control unit; and the second power supply unit is used for supply power to the control unit. The single service board and the method for controlling the power supply thereof in the embodiments of the present invention can realize flexible energy consumption management, reduce power consumption and reduce costs.
