The present invention relates to a multifunctional camera system for a rest area, to method for controlling same, to an integrated operating system using same, and to a method for controlling the integrated operating system. To this end, the multifunctional camera system for a rest area according to the present invention comprises: an entry camera unit for imaging vehicles coming into a rest area; an exit camera unit for imaging vehicles leaving the rest area; an image-processing unit which processes the images captured by the entry camera unit and exit camera unit so as to read vehicle information containing at least a vehicle number; and an information-processing unit for generating rest area status information based on the vehicle entry/exit time and the vehicle information.
