[Problem] To provide an electric automobile and an electric power source device for an electric automobile which are configured so that, even if the supply of electric power from either a main electric power source for supplying electric power to motors for driving the drive wheels of the vehicle or an auxiliary electric power source capable of supplying electric power to an electrical component of the vehicle is shut off, the operation of a control device for inverters for supplying an electric current to the motors can be continued by the supply of electric power from the other of the main and auxiliary electric power sources. [Solution] An electric automobile (1) is provided with: inverters (5F, 5R) for supplying an electric current to motors (3F, 3R); a control device (7) for controlling the inverters (5F, 5R); and an electric power source device (100) for operating the motors (3F, 3R) and the control device (7). The electric power source device (100) has a selection circuit (34) capable of supplying electric power to the control device (7) on the basis of a selected one of either the output of a high-voltage battery (10) for supplying a DC current to the inverters (5F, 5R) or the output of a low-voltage battery (30) capable of supplying electric power to an electrical component (8).
