PURPOSE: A system and a method for shutting off standby power of a vehicle are provided to prevent the discharge of a vehicle battery by converting inputted voltage into an instantaneous pulse signal. CONSTITUTION: A system for shutting off standby power of a vehicle comprises a multi-booting unit(170), a voltage measuring unit(120), a control unit(150), a differentiating circuit unit(160), and a switch unit(110). The multi-booting unit sets multi-booting. When the starting of a vehicle is turned on and the multi-booting unit is turned on, the voltage measuring unit measures the voltage of a battery. The control unit outputs a control signal for shutting off standby power. The differentiating circuit unit converts an ACC signal into an instantaneous pulse signal depending on the control signal. The switch unit shuts off power between an input terminal and an output terminal depending on the pulse signal.
