PURPOSE: A developing unit and an image forming apparatus equipping the same are provided to minimize manufacturing costs and to minimize the deformation of a cleaning blade. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic latent image is formed in an image carrier(110). A developing member(140) supplies developer to the image carrier. A first cleaning member(170) includes a first cleaning blade. The first cleaning blade removes a non-transferred developer on the image carrier. The first cleaning blade is reversed between counter arrangement and trailing arrangement.
